UK East Coast

We have never heard any English South Coast sailor say anything nice about the East Coast, just that it is flat, dull and dangerous. On the other hand -before going there to find out for ourselves- we have never met any who had actually been there. We visited the East Coast in 2004 and found that behind the treacherous sands there are beautiful rivers and marches. Our favorite is Southwold (incl Adnams) but Alde&Ore, Deben, and Orwell are very nice and the marshland of Walton Backwater is exquisite. There is a selection of pictures from our 2004 cruise.
