Fiesta in Hondarribia (September 2010)
In Hondarribia in the Basque country we experienced a true fiesta. A celebration in order to commemorate a successful defence against a French siege in 1638. Here myths of former glory and history is used to strengthen national identity .... and of course the children participate (national upbringing), note their typical red Basque berets.
