Sardana, Sunday morning in Barcelona
Sardana is national Catalan dance and particularly during the Franco regime a strong expression of identity that has since maintained its popularity as a part of Catalan nationalism (observe the flag waved in the background). Sardana may be experienced in Barcelona each Sunday morning from around 11 o'clock at the square in front of the Cathedral. It is an experience you shouldn't miss (but not something in which the random tourist should try to participate).
